Here is an overview of how our system works:
We distribute music digitally to radio stations through our RadioMusicDJ.com system and it provides MP3’s at 320K for licensed broadcasters.
To have a song included in our RadioMusicDJ service you need to take 3 steps. You purchase a song release to radio, submit your information and the song information and you upload your music file to us (or mail a cd to us.)
Here are links for each of the three steps:
Step 1 – You purchase a single song radio release. That song is added to our system for broadcasters and it stays in the system for 13 weeks.
Step 2 – You submit your artist/song/songwriter/publishing/record label information. We have a link for the submission form and when you fill it out make sure you click the submit button at the very bottom or we won’t receive your information!
Step 3 – You upload a WAV file or an MP3 ripped directly from a cd at 320K using our special upload link. You upload your cd cover (jpeg image at least 600 pixels) and an artist profile picture using the same upload link. (Or you can mail a cd to us and we will rip the song file and scan the cd cover for you at no additional cost.)
We add your song and set up an artist profile page in our system that is accessed by radio broadcasters around the world. After more than 15 years of weekly providing new radio releases to stations we have cultivated relationships with DJ’s, program directors and syndicated radio show hosts broadcasting on over 2800 radio stations.
These users log in to our system daily previewing music for possible airplay and downloading songs that they wish to add to their playlists.
Songs are automatically charted on our automated charting system based on the number of stations previewing and downloading the music during the charting periods and we publish those results each month. Just click on the link for Charts above to view the archives.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: We are exclusively a delivery system of music to radio stations. WE DO NOT TRACK OR OFFER TRACKING SERVICES FOR MUSIC RELEASED IN OUR SYSTEM. In other words we cannot tell you which stations are playing your music. That work requires the use of a tracking service who makes phone calls and send surveys to the stations and rely on participation of those stations with specific reporting of specific airplay. Most of these tracking services survey a limited number of stations that report to specific charts in printed publications. Most charge a monthly fee for that service.
Why We Started This Service:
As the numbers of charting stations began to drop dramatically about ten years ago we began getting contacts weekly from stations frustrated that they could no longer get music service. We solved that problem by offering a free download service for the stations that the record labels, music comp services and independent artists would pay for. Instead of mailing out a couple thousand disks to radio stations at a huge cost or by having to drastically cut the mailing lists to save money these labels, promoters and independent artists use our affordable and effective service to save hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars each month.
