The domain RadioactiveAirplay.com was registered on December 20th, 2005. After 10 months of pre-planning and building the industry connections we needed to assure success we went live on Nov. 5th, 2006 on our founder, Charles Brady’s 47th birthday. One month later on December 5th, 2006 we published the very first radio charts for the very first digital download music distribution service for southern gospel radio stations. For the past twenty years we have worked hard to maintain and operate a reliable, affordable and fair system with built in automation that charts music streams and downloads from radio stations around the world producing what we feel is most accurate charting system in Radio Airplay. Over the years our musical offerings have expanded and now include many artists and songs from Americana, Bluegrass, Christian Contemporary Music (CCM), Country, Christian Country, Gospel, Pop, Roots and of course Southern Gospel.
Here are those first charts we published so many years ago. I find it amazing to note that so many of the artist we started with are still ministering and still releasing music through our service today. It has been an honor to work shoulder to shoulder with so many great and talented world-class artists and record labels.
After suffering heart failure and needing emergency open heart surgery to replace a heart valve in 2019, Charles Brady stepped down from the day to day operations. The business continues providing broadcasters with great music that listeners love and while no longer active in day to day operations, Charles still keeps a watchful eye and a helping hand from time to time on a very limited basis.
